2.4 Post Installation Steps

After successful installation, you have a functioning system that requires some basic configuration.

  1. Change the root password
    The built-in password is Abcd1234.
  2. Set the system hostname
    Define a new hostname in /etc/hostname.
  3. Configure the network (optional)
    By default, ACHE installs with DCHP on a single interface. To set up specific network configurations, use the menu-driven command line tool nmtui.
  4. Reboot (optional)
    It is good practice to reboot the host with the new network configuration and hostname and confirm that the system boots as expected and is still reachable over the network.
